Default Value of old TV tubes?

Hi. I have 2 off 10E/222 VCR97 tube, and a ACR13 ZC3596K television tube all wrapped up in brown paper and stored that way for years( I can't test them to see if they are serviceable). Are they worth anything?

Regards,
Brian.

Brian4radio

These tubes are well worh saving, not any great monetary value but nevertheless sought after by experimenters and early kit builders.

I have a Premier kit television with a broken tube (VCR97) so if you decide to sell them I would be interested.

Mike

Hi.
Normally old CRT's don't realise great money, I have given away lots of tubes over the years for nothing, I am sure there are people here that will vouch for this. Often you see old tubes on E-bay that never sell.
Pre War tubes though are a different kettle of fish!

Brian,

I am one of the volunteers working on the EDSAC Replica Project, which is building a replica of one of the UK's earliest and most important post-war computers, at Bletchley Park.

We are looking for 10 VCR97s for that project.

Do you still have the VCR97s? and if so, how much do you want for them?

Regards,

Alan Clarke

Hi Alan,

As this thread is now quite old, you might be better sending Brian a PM (Private Message). To do so click on his name and select the PM option. If applicable you can then keep any monetary negotiations and other details private.

If Brian cannot help, then you'd be best posting in the Sets and Parts Wanted section.
