Default TR82D - How old?

I've just completed restoring a Bush TR82D - I love these old sets. It has cleaned up nicely the only problem being a slightly cloudy tuning dial but otherwise is working well.

The one I have has serial number 530/04557 and some of the Hunts capacitors have Jan 63 on them. I guess that makes this set one of the last TR82's maybe?

Can anyone help tie this down a bit more accurately please?

Is there a reference of any sort that lists serial numbers, model nos and dates by any chance?

Hi Dylan85, Please do a "Search" above for TR82d dates. Sorry I can not do a link but one of the moderators might. John.

The TR82D was manufactured from 1963 to 1965, together with the TR82DL version.

This thread
tells of all the variants.

There's more information, including dates, here.

Dylan85,

For your reference please find attached a copy of the article I did for the BVWS Bulletin regarding this family of portables.
