Data sheet required for RS High Power voltage Regulator 305-989
Hi all
I am looking for a copy of the RS data sheet for an old high power voltage regulator moulded into a large heatsink, originally supplied by RS, stock number 305-989. RS have no information at all as it was discontinued maybe 20 years ago. Maybe someone has some old (probably 80's) RS catalogues tucked away somewhere and can give me some idea of the pinouts and spec etc. Thanks Martin |

Just checked my 1981 and 1982 catalogues and drawn a blank.
Sorry i don't have any others until 2007. Good luck Chris |

Re: Data sheet required for RS High Power voltage Regulator 305-989
Is this the same as a 308-152 (later renumbered as a 310-436) ?
Moulded in black plastic (a bit like an ILP amplifier) on a big heatsink, with 5 pins? Pin 1 +V in Pin 2 0V Pin 3 output Pin 4 current limit sense Pin 5 output voltage control I have a hand-written note of all the data, may be able to scan it |

The attachment is from the 1976/7 RS catalogue. I knew it would be useful one day. I hope it's clear enoug.

Looks like Bryan's picture has exactly the same information as my notes - does this mean the case is now closed?

Hi Bryan
A good find. I can just about read it, but I would be very grateful of a close up scan of the suggested circuit with the values. Many thanks Martin |

Sorry about the quality of the previous post - I don't seem to have mastered the art of producing pics below the size limits. Try this one.

How informative the RS catalogues were then, but then I suppose the same goes for others like Maplin. Doubt if they will return like that
