Default Trio 9R-59D. Adding a frequency counter?

Split from this thread:-

Has anyone added a digital frequency readout to their 9R-59D? If so do you have a schematic? I have a suitable freq counter (from eBay). I already use a similar counter with my Drake R-4B.
