Default Maker of zener diode from 1965?

Does anyone know the maker of the type of zener in the link to the pic below?

http://www.voxac100.org.uk/images/front2/thumbs2/zener_15_02.jpg

It's in an amp from 1965 - value is 15v (MV15), around 1/2W rating? It's almost impossible to find info on these things.

Mullard made a "SV" series zener, similarly gold-coloured, but in a different package - but not even that seems to appear in the company's databooks.

Any suggestions, much appreciated.

Does the"IR" above the type number signify International Rectifier?

Hi,
Nearest data I have is IR MZ15T10 listed in Iliffe Radio Valve Data published c.1966. Spec appears to match case style in terms of power dissipation.

Have you got an AC100? They're as rare as hen's teeth. I used to use two of them back in the 70's. If I recall correctly, that zener forms the bias feed, along with 2 others, to give -45 volts.

Cheers

Zener diodes are specified by PIV and power dissipation. Any 15 V, 0.75 W (or greater) Zener diode will substitute, although modern ones are more likely to be in a glass or resin package.
