Default Canadian Model 52 receiver 1943 ish

I spotted one of these in a local antiques shop. I don't think it is tested or has its PSU. If anyone wants further information please PM me. Price not known.

Is it just me or does the cable sitting on top of it look like a regular mains cord missing its plug? I see a red wire, a black wire ....and what looks like a green wire.....

WS52 only needs three connections to power up - 12VDC heaters (Fils), 150v HT (B+) and Ground.

I would like it myself, if I didn't already have two of them here on the bench!

Yes I wondered whether that was mains connection. Easy mistake. I asked if there was a power supply unit but seller had no idea what I meant. How is it supposed to be connected? What is there to prevent a disaster?

Not a lot if it looks like a mains cable!

Probably no-one who didn't know what it was would be interested in paying "antiques shop" prices for it, though!

I had one of these with a power supply. I bought it from a Canadian Army Colonel when I was a teenager. When back to Canada a few years ago to find my Mum had sold it back to him for the princely sum of $25 (Cdn) about £17.
