Default Marconi Valve Radio with headphones - Auction Market Harborough on Tuesday

Lot 186 at Gildings http://www.gildings.co.uk/ in Market Harborough on Tuesday is catalogued as a Marconi Valve Radio with headphones - could be an interesting set but on the other hand the headphones might be a red herring and have nothing to do with the radio.

I saw this one too as I'm on their email list. If I get a chance I'll pop over on Monday and take a peek.

This wireless is not valved ,but a crystal set It is styled like an attache case radio , wooden box, covered in leathercloth, with a top panel of ebonite. Five plug in coils have their own compartment. The headphones are a red plastic and made by BT-H.
