Default Bush Radiogram needs repair in Staffordshire.

Hello,
I have a 1950s Bush radiogram in lovely condition that Ive used every weekend for the past ten years I've owned it. It has a Garrard RC121 MKII deck, sounds beautiful and works perfectly.
A few days ago, it suddenly lost about 70% of the volume in a second and the bass went, it sounds tinny. After a minute, the sound suddenly came back !. then it went again.
I left it for a couple of hours and it worked perfect again, loud and deep, then click, it suddenly went very quiet and tinny.
The only modification it has is a more modern (1970s) BSR X5M mono cartridge and stylus fitted several years ago. Ive just tried another known working cartridge and still low tinny volume, all the valves are glowing.
If left for a few hours, it sounds great again, but after several minutes , the sound deteriorates.
The problem is also the same on the radio.
Wax capacitors the problem?
Can anybody fix it for me in the Staffordshire area please?

Attached a few pics of the Bush radiogram.
Many thanks, Mike.
