'The lost art of detecting atomic tests'
At the risk of being accused of shameless self-promotion, I wrote this feature recently and thought it may be of interest to some forum members.
Briefly, it describes the electronics magazines of the cold war period and one circuit in particular - a tuned circuit and detector for ultra-low frequency radiation Please bear in mind that it was written for people with absolutely no technical background, hence the assumption about oscillosopes, the comment on electronics as a hobby declining in popularity and the tenor of the conclusion. http://www.thetripflare.org/articles...stair-siddons/ I hope you enjoy it and welcome any comments, either here or, for the bold, directly on my site! |

I love the Sitepal bot on your site's main page too! In fifty years, when there will be bots around everywhere effortlessly mimicking humans, I imagine these will be fondly remembered as collectable pieces of pure Americana ...

I'll let him off since it's Christmas (and since he has made it clear from the outset that it's his own site).
