The BSR SX6M is a stereo cartridge.

If you take a look at Bens sticky on Cartridges you will find much useful information.

If you do not want a stereo cartridge, but want a stereo-compatible mono cartridge as originally fitted to your Dansette, you may still find some residual stocks of the BSR X5M. But there's no reason why you cant just bridge the channels on the more readily available (NB all stocks under pressure now) stereo cartridges such as the BSR SC11M.

You were very lucky to still find a BSR X5M. Yes, it's a straight replacement.

The X5M will not fit with the screws from the X3M as it's bracket is plastic and thicker to the X5M which is metal and a lot thinner. The screws appear to be a self tapping type. Can anyone suggest where I could get some small screws that would be suitable. Thanks
