Bush SRG106 Radiogram
Hi all,
I noticed a Bush Radiogram in my local charity shop today. It was playing a record and sounded good. I've included some pictures of it. The lacquer on the top is flaking off but otherwise it looks good. It's up for £90 in St. David's Foundation Hospice Care shop in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, South Wales. Richard. |

Re: Bush SRG106 Radiogram
I bet it sounds really good, if we had the space I’d get it.
I wonder if it has same amp as in the Bush SRP41 that I am just serving, the deck looks the same, albeit different colour, it’s black in the SRP41. Cheers John |

I think this is a hybrid chassis. Probably RBM’s first.

Re: Bush SRG106 Radiogram
Yes, indeed a hybrid. So failed grid coupling caps and tin whiskers to deal with!
10" bass units + tweeters, 5 watts per channel, push-pull output. |

Thank you Barry I didn’t know that, I’ll have to be more observant

Re: Bush SRG106 Radiogram
The BSR 'Monarch' turntable reminds me of the Ferguson Stereogram we used to have at home. My dad was very proud of his World Record Club issue of 'South Pacific', especially the way the male singers of "There Is Nothin' Like A Dame" answered each other, alternating between left and right loudspeakers:
"We got sunlight on the sand, We got moonlight on the sea, .................................................. ..................We got mangos and bananas .................................................. ..................You can pick right off a tree, We got volleyball and ping-pong And a lot of dandy games! .................................................. ...................What ain't we got? We ain't got dames!" A good turntable but the playing weight of the arm was not kind to stereo LP's! This Bush set will look great once it's restored, assuming somebody has space for it ... Best wishes Guy |

Re: Bush SRG106 Radiogram
Despite the fact I don't have any space for it I bought it, but I really need to have a sort out of sets I'm no longer interested in so I can get this radiogram as well as other items tidied up and working properly. Cheers Neil.
