Default Easter Egg surprise.

Hi,

I had a nice surprise this Easter morning, a neighbour knocked on the door and asked would I like these old radios etc. Ooooh yes please, I said taking the black bag and not knowing what was inside.

I asked if she wanted anything for them and she replied "No love, they will only go in the bin". So I said thank you and went to the workshop to see what I had got, so I thought I would share it with you and to see if anyone remembers any of them.

That's good of her... but I hope she meant 'Council recycling centre' instead of 'bin'. That's the trouble with smaller items like these - they fit nicely in a bin.

So I guess she knew that you are into your old gear. Wonder how many other people in the local community know who the village electronics wizard is?

That looks like the same Hitachi Radio Cassette player that I have. Which has all the internal chassis mounts broken after being dropped. So if you want some parts give me a shout.

One day someone will think of all the ( now outdated ) video cameras as highly collectible ancient artefacts

I love the colourful appearance of the Philips radio/cassette. Mid 1980s?

Nick.

Very nice. I think I have one of those airband receivers somewhere.
