Easter Egg surprise.
Hi,
I had a nice surprise this Easter morning, a neighbour knocked on the door and asked would I like these old radios etc. Ooooh yes please, I said taking the black bag and not knowing what was inside. I asked if she wanted anything for them and she replied "No love, they will only go in the bin". So I said thank you and went to the workshop to see what I had got, so I thought I would share it with you and to see if anyone remembers any of them. Gezza |

Re: Easter Egg surprise.
That's good of her... but I hope she meant 'Council recycling centre' instead of 'bin'. That's the trouble with smaller items like these - they fit nicely in a bin.
So I guess she knew that you are into your old gear. Wonder how many other people in the local community know who the village electronics wizard is? |

Re: Easter Egg surprise.
That looks like the same Hitachi Radio Cassette player that I have. Which has all the internal chassis mounts broken after being dropped. So if you want some parts give me a shout.

One day someone will think of all the ( now outdated ) video cameras as highly collectible ancient artefacts

I love the colourful appearance of the Philips radio/cassette. Mid 1980s?

Very nice. I think I have one of those airband receivers somewhere.
