Default Portadyne model?

I am looking to download the service data from this site for above player.
It has UY85 and UL84 valve line up.
But has no model number that is visible.
Can anyone tell me which model it is
Also it is currently fitted with a high output cartridge, is this correct or should it be a medium output?
Thanks. Les

The Portadyne Popular looks a likely candidate. The valve line up is certainly the same.

The circuit of these two valve record players is so simple that it hardly warrants the need for a circuit diagram.

You most definately will need to use the high-output cartridge (it's a Mono only BSR TC8H) in this. Is the cartridge working? The circuit is extremely simple and this configuration was used in many Portadyne players of this period. Yours comes from 1961/62.

Thanks Edward yes the cartridge does work but has very low output.

I have some BSR X5H cartridges in stock so I will fit one of them.
Cheers.

Just an update on this, after changing caps and cleaning pots etc,
I have found that the cartridge does in fact have a good output so it will be good for playing mono records.
Thanks.
