Default Where can I find everything on a Grundig 3033WF/3D Radio?

Hello everyone -

I have a Grundig 3033/56 (USA) version, 3033WF/3D (German):

https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/grundig_3033wf3d.html

I have a schematic. However, I'm looking for more material such as a real service guide, user guide, etc. I don't know what the lower dials do on the bottom right and left of the unit and the outputs/inputs on the rear.

Note the rectangular port. Wired remote? I would think that Grundig provided this information at time of sale but it might be hard to find.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Brian

Probably unlikely to get more info than the pages on the radio museum site. The two controls on the front are bass and treble controls that as adjusted should show red spots in the indicators on the glass dial. The back has standard markings for aerials and speakers. The multi connection used a dedicated cable and control box to mostly give preset tone settings.

Yep. I was thinking along those lines.

I did find some fair .PDF information, but little history on this unit.

Might you know how many bulbs and what type it uses? Same for fuse.

Thanks.

I think I'm allowed to post this. This seller:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/GRUNDIG-ALL-...-/233311359934
appears to offer downloads of Grundig manuals. I have had no dealings with this seller, this is not a recommendation or a promotion, it doesn't interest me etc. I just mention it because it appears to be what OP is looking for.

I did find this. It's the next unit after the one I have:

https://luxuryradios.com/en/grundig-3035-en/#

No SAMS Photofact exists for both units.

Have you downloaded the information from the radio museum? You don't have to be a member to do this. Just click on the thumbnail then click on the image. You'll be prompted for an email address to which the circuit diagram or picture will be sent.

The horizontal knobs at the bottom of the cabinet are bass and treble controls. It's not too difficult to work out what everything else is, but you may have to google some German abbreviations like UKW.

Port? That's too 21st century for us!

Hi again -

Yes, I have checked all the above resources already.
Would even settle for a parts list and part description at this point.

Example, Bulbs, Fuses, Potentiometers, etc.

UKW = Ultrakurzwelle (radio band 30-300 MHz, German) = FM

The name "FM band" is misleading, since one can transmit FM on any frequency within the VHF range.

All of these bands mentioned are in the VHF band which extends from 30 MHz to 300 MHz.
In some countries FM broadcast radio is referred to as "VHF", "UKW" (German "Ultrakurzwelle" — "Ultra Short Wave".)

I leaned some basic German in my College days, but picked up even more watching WWII movies, lol.

Or indeed anywhere else in the RF spectrum.
Misleading yes. As is the North American practice of calling Medium-Wave AM.

Most of this information is in the manufacturers' service info available from the Radio Museum.

For example the lamps are 7V 0.3A and 6V 0.1A. As you have the set you'll be able to check whether they're screw or bayonet types.

Thanks everyone.

I'll keep digging deeper for a Grundig 3033 parts list but I think that there isn't one for the public.

Cheers!

All the information you want, fuses, bulbs, pots. etc is on the circuit diagram.
