Repair of Contax film camera - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

My nephew is looking to get his Contax T2 film camera,

When you switch on the lens cover won’t open, but there is a whirring noise coming from it.

Can anyone help or suggest someone who can.

I've had a consistently good experience with Cameratiks in Edinburgh, both in person and by post. Even when I've mucked up a repair and sent them a load of bits...

The shop is a treasure trove as well, if you're ever in Morningside. Loads of secondhand digital and film cameras, lenses etc. I got a Pentacon Six prism off the shelf.

I'll second that. They've serviced and repaired me several SLRs and a couple of 6x6 folding cameras. All done perfectly and returned promptly.
