Default Sony TC-200 Reel-Reel

I picked up one of these tape machines, the volume crackles when adjusted. I saw the spray that I need in a thread yesterday, now I can't find it. Can someone tell me the name of the spray I need please.

The short answer is "Yes". Just use a 3 amp or 5 Amp fuse in the 3 pin plug.

george1960,

If the tape-recorder was sold with a 2 wire flex and has a non-polarized plug on it (ie a plug that can be inserted either way around) then, in principle, either wire can go to the live plug pin and the other to the neutral plug pin. Possibly though, if you connect it to another piece of Hi-Fi, any background hum level might differ depending upon your choice.
