Default AVO 7 what probe???

Hello, my AVO 7 mk1 late version, has a battery cover with 2 spaces to hold the probes, one of them to hold the red an black sticks, and another space reserved to hold a different probe that i have never see.

Does any one have a photo of that mysterious probe??

Never seen one, but i think it may have been a single probe, with the other terminal being attached to the equipment chassis under test with the usual crocodile/alligator clip.

I think it will be an early type of spring hook probe, the slot looks similar to my Dads 8 mkII - rather clumsy and pretty useless as I remember.

Hello, an expert in AVOs sent me a few days ago a link to an advertisement where an Avo was been sell with a few probes.

The second or perhaps the first from the right could be the mysterious probe.

Thanks!!

The second probe on the left was the one supplied with early Model 8 Avometers. I don't think the two on the right are Avo products.

PMM.

Yes, the space on the battery cover looks different to that probe, perhaps is not the mysterious probe....

I think the two probes on the right are AVO, one supplied per meter, even down to the Hellerman sleeve on the second right example which I am pretty sure is still on my Dad`s 8 MkII presumably to stop the probe dropping straight out of the holder when the turnbuckle is turned.
