Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
Email the bulletin editor (Alex). I'm sure he would be pleased to receive good clear photos for the calendar and bulletin covers.

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
Today's mail was somewhat drier than yesterday's (despite the weather being no better) and included the Bulletin. Although the envelope was torn along part of a long side, the contents were undamaged.

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
Mine arrived yesterday, dry and in perfect condition.
Another great read and quality that befits the society. Thanks to all those involved and who contribute. Peter |

In fairness it's hardly the postal services fault if it's raining cats and dogs and the letters are 'protected' in paper envelopes? Most posties do what they can to protect our mail but not all of them are so caring and like I say, they can't help it if it's raining hard, the envelope will get wet, simple as really. Dupont's Tyvek envelopes are up to the job, they're water resistant, look much nicer than plain plastic and they're recyclable. http://www.dupont.co.uk/products-and...ike-tyvek.html

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
We have a BVWS committee meeting this evening and, although I cannot attend, I have asked that this be discussed as part of the bulletin editor's report. Hopefully we can use something better next year.
Thank you for the suggestion of alternative envelopes Steve, that is very useful. I have highlighted that post to the chairman. |

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
My Bulletin arrived safe and sound yesterday.
Been able to pay online makes subscribing so much easier particularly for us overseas members. I am sure it will help boost subscriptions. Frank |

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
The envelope on mine was slightly torn and battered at the top, but the magazine was fine. Looks like a couple of good TV related articles too- and a new standards converter project!
What's more, I flicked through the calendar and December's picture leaped out at me. A sobell 1000DST dual standard TV! I've been trying to find one of these for years and so far I've only ever found reference to one that actually exists on the Forum. It will be December for most of next year I think! Well done to the editor, Alex, and to the contributors for making it such a good magazine! Cheers Nick |

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
I believe the photos for the calendar were taken at the museum in Dulwich, so that is where you can see one in person.

Re: BVWS Winter 2018 Bulletin
Ah, thanks Paul- I didn't know they had one. I've been meaning to visit the revamped museum for a while but somehow the journey always seems to put me off! Must try harder this year!
