Quad FM3 problem
Hi all.
Managed to buy a cheap Quad FM3 radio tuner last week. It sounds lovely but when its been on for an hour it suddenly starts going very quiet. If I unplug it and plug it back in again it is fine for a while then does it again, Any ideas please? |

Re: Quad FM3 problem
I would suggest measuring the +14V and -14V supply lines with the fault present and not present.

Re: Quad FM3 problem
Have you tried twiddling with the "Mute threshold" preset on the back when the fault's present?

Re: Quad FM3 problem
Hello.
I had a range of Quad items from the valve and early transistor period. When I needed information years later, I found by calling Quad they were very willing to provide advice and information sheets. If the company is still trading it may be worth giving them a call. |
