Default Any 30 Line Television Circuits Available?

I was looking to build a simple sound 30 line television and I wondered if anyone had any circuits available?

Thank you, Jake

You might find the Narrow Bandwidth Television Forum a good starting point.

By the way, are you thinking of building a mechanical televisor (e.g. using a Nipkow disc) or electronic scanning, such as displaying on an oscilloscope?

Yes! PM me with your email address and I'll send you some scans of a magazine article from 37 years ago, which is when I had a go at constructing one.

From the ETF: a design of a 30 line CRT receiver. This TV receiver was designed and constructed by Mr F Kerkhof in Holland.

A superb engineering job.

You may find this of interest - I made one a while back; very entertaining and educational.

The educational Televisor is 32 line NBTV standard and based on up to date electronics....but it's easy to build and works. I bought one about 10 years ago and have made a couple of CDs of video material for it.

It certainly might be a starting point to build something easily before moving onto something more authentic.

I've always hankered after a genuine 30-line set....not that I'm old enough to have even seen a 405-line set other than a museum....

Circuit diagram of another 30 line TV receiver. The 1930 Ediswan CRT set.
Gas filled valves are used in the timebases. V4 is the 375c/s line oscillator and V5 the 12.5c/s frame oscillator.

I know how you feel, but I hope you have deep, deep pockets then! On the very rare occasions that one comes up for sale, it tends to fetch several thousand pounds.
