That Mullard maintenance manual is particularly handy for radio and television restoration and repair as it has most of the post war radio and television valves in it plus some CRT’s and has all of the the base connections and characteristics all conveniently laid out, one valve per page.

I had that Babani book. If you spent long enough it seemed to say everything was equivalent to everything else.

Obviously that's a joke but it is how it seemed to me at the time. Maybe 1974-5?

Probably not that far off the truth! Within the limits of PNP, NPN, AF, RF, Ge, Si, small signal and power most types are pretty much interchangeable

I bought those 60's and 70's mullard books when they came out!! - for some weird reason despite the 4shillings on the front I recall paying 7shillings and sixpence for them each - but when and to whom is a long forgotten thing now - still you did get a bargain. I particularly liked the Mullard pocketbooks for the brief info.
