Default Found another issue with the Commodore Pet

Hi all
Sorry to be starting another post but looking for your help on another issue.
In between getting my 4032 to display an image and in another post trying to get the disk drives working I wanted to get some software running on the pet so I brought a C64 datasette to load downloaded wav files converted via pc to a tape recorder so I could have a bit of fun.
The only problem is the C64 drive which I have tested on my Commodore 128 and is fully working is completly dead on the pet.
I have tried cleaning the pets cassette socket but nothing.
Any ideas as always would be much appreciated.

As a matter of interest, have you tried plugging it into the internal/second datasette port to see if it works there?

And do you know the datasette part number so we can go track that down?

Colin.

Hi
The datasette model is 1530 - C2N and as far as I can see the Commodore 4032 does not have an internal port there is one at the back and I think there is one onthe right hand side which looks the same and I have tried both.

That's kind of what I meant - the second port. Does it spin momentarily when you power the PET on? Do any of the Play/FF/Rew buttons make it do anything at all when plugged in?

Colin.

Hi Pud - I see you have started a similar thread over on VCFED so rather than try to run parallel to what you are being told there, I'll let you go where that leads. If you don't get anywhere there by all means continue here.
