Hi all.
Apologies for the delay in replying to this thread. It's been murderously busy of late and I've not been catching up on emails, forum stuff etc. Andy B. - No problem and I'll send you a PM. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Kind regards. From Mike. Ps. Please everyone wear a name badge.

Hi Mike,
I'd love to come up if ok, it may not be until late afternoon if I have to work Saturday Morning, I will check. Could I possibly crash in your dining room like last year if you have room? Cheers Lee

Re: 2018 Solihull Junk-Swap - Saturday May 12th
Gosh Mikey- you must be the most popular person on the Forum at such short notice! My son used to live in Brum, Mosley and then Kings Heath! If he was stilll there I'd ask to come along just as an observer/filmer of the fun and games but I'm anchored down in Bexhill [to quote Michelle Shocked] I don't have any sort of TV repair pedigree unfortunately. Enjoy and report back as much as possible please! It's all good stuff. If you feel like responding, what was it that dented your vintage TV enthusiasm for a while-you are very obviously an expert in the field? Please don't feel obliged to reply on that point though. Watch out for a Steve P [of Bodgit and Scrapit] take over. He's another diagnostic genius [sorry Steve!].

Re: 2018 Solihull Junk-Swap - Saturday May 12th
Hi all.
Thank you for all the replies and kind comments. Everyone is more than welcome, no matter how short notice. Could I ask everyone (just as a gentle reminder again) to bring a name-badge of some description with their forum name and real name please. And don't forget - bring whatever electronic / TV related junk you like for people to sift through. See you all on Saturday. Thanks again everyone. Kind regards. From Mike. Quote:

Yes I think there's probaly a lot of truth [as well as humour] in your comments there Mikey. Even when you enjoy something, it can take it's toll.
Have a great weekend Dave |

Hi Mike and friends
I hope you have a great day, I feel I am missing out on a good time. But I do have some other plans for Saturday, but will be at the NVCF on Sunday, hopefully, if I remember wearing my KB badge (See avatar) so if you see me say hello and introduce yourselves. all the best Mike |

Hello Mike. A huge thank you for opening your home up once again a for fantastic swap meet. I really enjoyed the day, very relaxed. Got rid of some junk and came back with some, so a great day. Hope you are not too exhausted after having to work today, and the house is not too messy.
Best regards, David |

Thank you Mike for hosting a great event. Was great to meet you and all the forum members present! I felt very welcome as a 'newbie' to the event. Was the battle won with EHT with the reluctant Ekco in the end!?

Yes an absolutely brilliant weekend and extra special thanks to Mike for his excellent hospitality - constant supplies of bacon sandwiches and tea - and for letting everyone trample all over his house.
It was great to see everyone. It really is one of the highlights of the year! Steve |

Hi Mikey,
Thank you very much for a fantastic day of all things telly. Your generosity of allowing us all into your home and your hospitality is second to none young Sir. It was also great to meet up with the merry bunch of fellow enthusiasts both old and new and also to watch the tussles of the "John vs Ekco" live from the dining table....the ultimate Solihull sports day ! As Steve has just said it's the highlight of the year ! Cheers, Marc. |
