Re: AVO Model 9 Mk IV variation
This thread was split from the parent by request. I'd assume that anyone making a record of serial numbers would know to look in either thread, but it certainly won't do any harm to duplicate them if desired.

Re: AVO Model 9 Mk IV variation
Update to the Mk IV research for those interested.
Based the Data I have accumulated, the Serial Number Move from the Scaleplate to the Label on the Outside, seems to have occurred in January 1970. Feel free to let me know if you have a Mk IV that contradicts this. My Data Sample is only 20 Units, so not as big as I would like it. The Move from a Black Plastic Case, to the Grey/Green Case also appears to have happened in January 1970. I do not have any records of the Grey/Green Case having the Serial number Printed on the Scaleplate, but I do have records of the Black Case having Scaleplate and Label Serial Numbers. I would guess then, that there were a number of Black Cases that needed to be used up first when the changes were made. Again, if anybody has Mk IV's that contradict this, feel free to let me know. Re: AVO Model 9 Mk IV variation
My Avo 9 mk4 do not have serial number on dial plate or label on the case. The case is plastic, color grey, and the movement looks original, it has been in my own for 25 years or more. Inside standard in "V"
