2uf caps
Nice source of 2uF( actually 1.8) but 250 v poly type . Old BT etc master sockets.
As a womble type ( most of us on here are) ,I started looking for a use for the capacitors I cut off phone master sockets to make them slaves. I used to fit telecoms systems and firm decided it was cheaper to stock only masters and send us out with masters to convert as needed. So I "collected" these when I converted a master. Handy ,if changing an extension from a system phone to a 2 w NORMAL TYPE . Solder wires on each end and stick across pin 2 &3. But I'd suggest that there's another use as a high voltage replacement for 2 uF in radios-after all it's only .2uF = 10% FROM VALUE. And BT type masters are two a penny. |
