Re: TDA 2030 amp, strange fault
Interesting to read about this because I had trouble with a TDA2050 amp kit I bought from Maplin a few years ago. The fault was opposite to yours in that it oscillated when the volume pot was at minimum and stopped when the volume was increased. Mine had a low-frequency oscillation that would shake the speaker cone and draw a high current. I think I solved it by reversing the polarity of the input capacitor.
