Default Newbie with a BC-348. Value?

Hi all and please bear with me as I'm very new to this!

I recently inherited a radio, now I'm fairly confident, with a lot of googling that I've worked out it's a BC-348. Now I have no idea if it is any good, it is a little cosmetically tired but is straight and all the knobs seen to turn freely.

Now the reason I'm here is to see if there is any value to it, as I have no interest/time to be getting it working, but would love to see someone else appreciate it, now I'm sure I won't be retiring early on the money but would be nice if maybe I could have a nice meal out with the misses.

Well as with everything condition and completeness are very important.

Doing a search on completed listings

Hope that helps

Cheers

I'd say £50 - £70 at auction. The stumbling block being that it doesn't have a built-in power supply, so will always be a 'project' for someone to take on.

It's possible such people inhabit this forum.

Good luck with your endeavours.

Regards
Pete

The value of a BC-348 is extremely dependent on whether it is still fitted with the internal dynamotor and the correct power connector, or whether these have been removed and replaced with a mains power unit, frequently very crudely. The dynamotor alone can sell for £80!
Some pictures showing the inside of the receiver would be very helpful.
