Default London Model Engineering exhibition

The London Model Engineering exhibition will be held on January 21st to 23rd at Alexandra Palace, ( London N22 7AY).

Apart from the models, it is an ideal location to see and perhaps buy, lathes (see https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...691#post395691) or other machine tools.

Also, there will be suppliers there with stocks of BA nuts & bolts, taps & dies, paint, and other useful items.

(I will be there on the Sunday.)

This always is an excellent exhibition to visit - and the car parking is free (or was!). Plenty of trade stalls to find that bargain on and plenty of superb models to eat your heart out over. Recommended.

There is also the 'National Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition' at Harrogate on May 13th, 14th 15th. I've never been to either this one or the London one, but have been told they are very good.

Parking is still free (although can get crowded unless one arrives fairly early), and there is free transport from the parking areas to the hall.

Harrogate is often reckoned to be the best of the model exhibitions, especially by those in / from Yorkshire. But they would say that, wouldnt they!
It is certainly the best for those within easy reach.

That's the Northern version. The Midlands version will be at the Coventry cowshed, aka the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, where the NVCF is held, in October. The dates haven't been fixed yet.
They're all much the same, although the Midland and Northern versions tend to be a better day out due to the time of year.
Sadly the 'junk' stands have declined dramatically over the years, presumably due to costs.
