Default "Zero" Stations and British Resistance

Those with an interest in the radio aspect of the Zero and Aux Signal Units during WW2 and in particular the mythical "TRD" radio might find this useful:-

A show of hands on the VMARS-Member forum is that the radio depicted is a British Wireless Set No 9, basically the Times has used a stock photo of WWII gear and operator.

Our preparedness for hostilities in the 1930s was exceptional. My father managed a Joseph Rank flour mill in Royal Victoria Dock until it was totally Blitzed in 1940. He was then sent to Bath to run a newly re-commissioned steam driven mill as well as two more in the area. Secret gain stores were also his remit.
