Default A bit of festive fun - Does anyone know what this is?

Just for a bit of fun.

This might just pass as vintage and is almost certainly quite rare but does anyone know what it is and what it does.

Before we go any further I do know exactly what it is and what it’s use was. I have deliberately blurred the writing on the front as it gives the game away. For the same reason I have placed it in a general forum category rather than a specific area.

I am not giving away prizes or anything for correct guesses but just thought it might be a bit of festive fun.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Simon

Nope

Just to add more mystery, As I know exactly what it is, putting the exact description into google comes up with nothing.

A totally wild guess as I can't picture how it would operate, but does it allow push button tuning for TVs with rotary tuners?

Is it a channel converter for a hotel distribution system?

I believe it is a signal source and modulator for the teams setting up customer TVs / VCRs at the start of Channel 5.

It obviously was not difficult enough.

Spot on Chris

This one is special as if I remember correctly it can output a signal on any UHF channel not just C35 or C37

I just can't remember how to do it other than you short two pins on the little edge connector.
