Default 26" and 25" G6 s/std model numbers

I have a G22 K 511/01 22' single standard G6. Does anybody know if a 26' version was ever made, I think I remember a 25' version but not a 26. Any ideas anybody? Regards, G.P.

Certainly the service manual only makes reference to the G22K511 and the G25K512 with A56-120X 22" and A63-120X 25" tubes.

Hi GP
I don't think there was a 26". There were only early s/std 25" G6 - G25K512. This was the earlier s/std G6 with the contrast control on the front and better PCB for chroma - green lacquer instead of red, or was it the other way around?
There was a G22K502 as well - earlier s/std.

I think the only 26" s/std hybrids were the K70 S26K497 and K80 S26K414

I don't remember seeing any 26" G6 sets, only 22" & 25" ones.
The 1970/71 edition R&TV Servicing also refers to a D/S 22" version G22K503.

There was also the Tandberg CTV1 available as either 22" or 26".

On the subject of G6"s again , did the 25" single standard version have a mask around the tube or was it push through ?. Anybody got any pictures of the said model ? .regards GP.

Sorry - no nice colour photos - just a rotten scan from the manual...

I confess I don't know much about tubes of this era - but I'm puzzled by the mask on the 25" model: As it used an A63-120X tube I would have thought this a push through "rectangular" job like the A56-120X in the 22" model? The A63-11X of the original dual standard I can understand....

Hi
That must be an old photo - the 512 did have a push-through CRT (as they were called).
I also used to have a very broken G22K503 (salvaged for spares a long time ago!) which was a dual standard 22" push through G6 - sadly no longer with us.

Hi everyone.

There was indeed a 26" version of the S/S G6. It was the G26K513.

Hi GP.

I believe the cabinet was virtually identical to the 512, which was pretty similar itself to the 511 other than the bottom grille.

As for the CVC1 - No I'm afraid I haven't got around to doing anything with it yet, but a very worrying thing is that it is in the same barn that had that awful leak - I'm hoping for the best as it's not in the same place as the previous leak and it wasn't on the ground, but I haven't been down to Devon for a while to check.
