Black Star Apollo 10
OK, you came up trumps with my last request for service info on a Levell audio osc. How about a Black Star Apollo 10 counter timer? There seem to be a few of these on sale just now, hopefully someone has some info please?
Thanks, John. |

Should that be Apollo 100? Telford may help - http://www.telford-electronics.co.uk/manual.php?alpha=b

Black Star Apollo counter.
Could you post a photograph please. I have information upon several Black Star counters. None called Apollo, but that firm often seem to market under several different names. wme_bill |

There's a rough picture of the Apollo 10 on the first page of the attached pdf file, with a sketch of its front panel on the fifth page (numbered page 3).

Apollo counter.
The nearest I have is the Meteor counter. Uses the usual 7216 I.C. with a Plessey/GEC ECL divider for the higher frequency models. This may give you a useful lead to the circuit. Your model may just have more elaborate switching. So I attach the circuit. Let us know how well it compares with your actual machine. wme_bill |

Re: Black Star Apollo 10
Thank you Diabolical artificer, WME Bill & Hysteresis, for the information & links. I forgot to mention that I allready had the opperating instructions for the APOLLO series counter timers which all seem to have pages 7 & 8 missing. Looking at the Meteor series circuits is possible that the basic counter and display circuits are the same but as my instrument will not be ariving untill after the weekend I 'cant say yet. The complete dearth of any circuits for the Apollo series seems strange as the Meteor seem to have quite professionally produced circuits. The instrument I am having is supposed to be in full working order. But I have a "thing" about having circuits/manuals for all the test equipment I have.
WME Bill, when it arrives I will let you know how it compares. Regards, John. |

Re: Black Star Apollo 10
Hi John,
I've scanned my Apollo 10/100 Service Manual and put it in my Google Drive temporarily (~15MB):- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L6g...ew?usp=sharing Since it doesn't appear to be available anywhere else I'll upload it to ElektroTanya later (when I've checked up how to...). Cheers Barry |

Re: Black Star Apollo 10
Hi, Trigon, Thank you very much for downloading a copy of the service manual for the Apollo series counter timer. It was just what I was looking for.
