What a bargain!
Well done on finding such a radio at a boot sale, at our local ones any radio is a rarity. Sorry can’t help with any details, it does look well made, I notice rivets rather than screws. Still, should not be hard to draw the circuit from examination. Good luck, looks like fun! Peter |

Re: Early TRF info needed please
Hi Derek, have a look at typical circuits from the early 30's and you should be able to draw parallels. It looks like it uses an SG, possibly a triode detector and possibly a pentode OP.
It may have been a kit set supplied with a chassis. Good buy, Ed |

Re: Early TRF info needed please
Is that an octal valve socket in the second pic? That would make the set mid '30s or later since octals didn't appear until 1935.
What are the valves?

Re: Early TRF info needed please
Was that the Eddystone coil base?
Popular at that time and a good range of coils available. Ed |

6K7G/CV1941? The coils may be BTS? I have one similar somewhere. The plug in coils in a metal chassis will narrow the choices down.
