Sony C6UB Mark II
Just saved this. Replaced power lead and it came to life.
Loaded a tape which it accepted, but no action when play is pressed, instead it just ejects. New belts needed? Cheers |

Yeap. Check the loading belt and the tyre that drives the loading ring. It may be just stuck and needs a bit of help by turning the ring by hand.

Re: Sony C6UB Mark II
I must eat humble pie. When I read on the Betamax site the Sony SL-C5 use a similar belt to the SL-C6 I looked for a set of those. On further reading, this is not so and my apology for that.
However, I am pleased to say that bigwarehousespares.com.au, also down under, do deliver worldwide and from their site have the C6 belts in stock. On their site, search "sony sl-c6" and hey presto for 24 dollars plus p&p, they are yours. Once again, I am sorry to have mislead you, let me know how you get on. Chris |

https://spares.bigwarehouse.com.au/p...ucts_id=107538 I'm borrowing one of these machines but it won't lace the tape and the belts appear very loose so I'm trying to work out how easy the belt replacement is. |
