Smile Very old Philips radio

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some help and advice, I inherited a very old looking Philips radio (photo attached) and it just feels wrong to throw it away, could it be worth anything to someone? How do I go about getting it valued and selling it?

Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome. I dare say someone will correct me, but this doesn't look quite right to me. I'm guessing that it started life as a radiogram, the spaces at the bottom would be for records. The record deck would probably have been top left. Even the light coloured radio looks a bit out of place to me, in a dark cabinet.

It certainly looks odd. Do you know anything of its history?

I think it is right, apart from the missing Philips three speed changer. I had one years ago and very good it sounded too. Çirca 1955. Probably a very low value item, particularly with the missing record deck. Might be worth getting going, only single ended el84 iirc, but audio stages/speaker are better than many of its ilk

When I read "very old", I thought late 1920s! Not that old in terms of radio history.

A very good sounding Radiogram from early 1955 with the Philips autochanger removed. That Sycamore(?) radio faceplate is as it should be.
