Default Grundig auto 36 record deck motor problem.

Hello everyone,
I have a Grundig radiogram with a Grundig/Philips 36 auto changer in it.
The turntable does turn freely but the motor does not seem to be working.
I have looked and the motor spindle does not spin. It is turning freely though.
Do I need to replace the motor, or is there a fix for this. I would appreciate any help you may be able to give.
Dave.

Default Re: Grundig auto 36 record deck motor problem.

The picture of the underside of the deck on the radiomuseum site shows it has a mains motor and switch. My first check (on the deck - after fuse in mains plug) would be to see if the switch was being operated correctly and the circuit was continuous.
