That looks more like a pre war HMV! No transmissions in Scotland then unless you had a very big aerial! The letters BBC on the card are upside down in the mirror.

Did they have photoshop in the 50'? John.

The last time I remember staying in a UK hotel without a TV in the room was in the mid 1980s when my Dad's company had a family weekend do.

I imagine the photographer wouldn't have wanted to stay around until the evening programmes started! Mind you, if the bar was open....
