Default 2 core main flex?

Slightly not-radio question.

I've just bought (eBay) an old Metamec main electric clock.

The fitted flex is modern, heavy, and ugly.

I would like to fit a flex that is very light (I doubt the current is very high...), probably cloth wound, and "nice". It will be running from a power point to my mantel-piece over the fire (obviously ) so appearance is an issue.

I would welcome pointers to possibilities and suppliers.

Default Re: 2 core main flex?

Any 2-core flex rated for mains voltage use will be fine. The current consumption of these is virtually nil.

Plenty of twisted, cloth-covered stuff in a range of colours available by the metre on eBay etc. Note that it's not as flexible as the original stuff, but it does the job and looks nice.

Fuse in the plug needs to be 3A or less (2A and 1A are available).
