Default G8CQS Linear amplifier?

I've just received a RF Amplifier, possibly made by G8CQS and dated on the pcb 1974, the pa transistor is a 2N6082, there's a couple of relays inside, these "seem" to be stuck on transmit. The amplifier does seem to work but receive is weak. Any info greatly appreciated.

I can't find an email address for G8CQS.

I've found Brian Summers (BATC) as G8CQS and P J Craig as G8CQS

Looking for the Motorola (Helge Granberg) applications note for that transistor.

G8CQS ran a company Modular Electronics which imported SSM rf power transistors and
also marketed complete kits around 1980 with excellent technical notes.

Thanks for the info, I've ordered a couple of SPCO relays to replace the originals, obviously they won't be an exact fit, hopefully, it'll spring to life.

Peter G8CQS was a friend of mine, we lost contact about 23 years ago, he used to have a small shop in Selsey, West Sussex. His amplifiers were good, he sold a lot to the Home Office and he made some very good synthesised 2 metre radios and was a keen contester. I believe he might be SK.
