SONY STR 4800 no sound right channel on start up
Hi all,
I have a Sony 4800 that on power up has no sound on right hand channel until 1/3 volume then all is well ? Have de ox all as far as I know. Help appreciated. Thanks Robert |

Sounds like a poor connection somewhere eg, dry solder joint, cracked track, protection relay contacts, switches etc. There are a few recent threads about such issues if you have a search around. In terms of solving the problem much depends on your level of expertise.

+1, for protection relay contacts. Relays are available but sometimes it is possible (with a little butchery) to get at the contacts.
