RGD 516 radio.
Hi not sure if this is the right forum but need help with the wave change indicator on RDG 516. The round plastic indicator is still there as is a lever with small round boss on the wave change shaft. It looks like it may have had a connecting rod between the two, if so it would need to be cranked as they are not in line with each other. Any help advice will be appreciated. Thanks Ricky

Re: RDG 516 radio.
Hello, nice to see you back for your second post, look forward to the next in 2028.
It's RGD (not RDG) by the way, it stands for RadioGramophone Developments. It might help when searching Some info here which suggests a cord was used: https://www.radios-tv.co.uk/communit...dio-model-516/ The chap who wrote that thread is David Boynes who is "Fernseh" on this forum. Maybe he'll see your request. Nick. |

Re: RDG 516 radio.
Chas Miller wrote an article about the RGD Company in Radiophile years ago. It was in Shropshire and he said it's now a Housing Estate. The origin of many top quality designs especially Radiograms. Ricky, your first post on the "Radiograms Will They Ever Be Wanted" thread a decade ago takes us right back to a time when it seemed absolutely clear [it had been for many years] and we [correctly] and confidently advised, that there was no real demand for Radiograms except for a few rare [pre-war] items. Then retro "Up-Cycling" arrived
Ironic eh? Dave |

Re: RDG 516 radio.
Thanks for the heads up. Getting old, I didn’t spot the RGD senior moment.
