Re: 2v lead acid cells
Just checked and they sell a reasonably priced charger too for that 2V battery.

Re: 2v lead acid cells
That looks to be a very useful battery and reasonably priced too. Finding 2-Volt lead-acid cells isn't easy as most are either 12-Volt or 6-Volt batteries.
They have some excellent model kits on their web site, if only I had the time! Symon. |

Re: 2v lead acid cells
RS stock a range of 2V Cyclon cells. These are very tough indeed. Not the cheapest but not stupidly expensive either.

Re: 2v lead acid cells
We use 2.5Ah Cyclons at work, they are absolutely bulletproof. I've only ever seen one cell fail and I replace maybe 15 a month. Unfortunately they HAVE to be replaced as part of policy, generally they still have 95% capacity after 4 years.
You see car batteries made out of VERY large cyclon type batteries because of their mega-low internal resistance. Dave. |

Re: 2v lead acid cells
I don't suppose you get to take the unwanted batteries home?
I used to grab the 12v ones from our workplaces alarm, which usually had plenty of life left. Tony |
