Identify this TV?
Just saw this advertised in Dublin, I think it's now sold but wondering if anyone can ID it?

Re: Identify this TV?
Hi,
Goodness me, That's a reminder of my spotty youth! Way back when, we had one as a loan set for a week or two when our rented Ferranti went in for repair. Cheers, Pete.

Re: Identify this TV?
The company I worked for couldn't shift the Pye 310 but the Pam 600 which was much more smarter looking and the same set sold well.

Re: Identify this TV?
It's nearly 50 years since I worked on the Pye V310, the firm I worked for back then had lots of them out on rental as well as the V210 also a fair few V300's and V200's
The V110's were often used as loan sets. Lawrence. |

Re: Identify this TV?
Nice set. I have one which I brought back to life back in 2008 as seen in this thread. Shame you didn't manage to nab it...

Re: Identify this TV?
I have both the v300 & the v310 come to think of it I have the v110 as well , they are great sets & give good results when restored.

Re: Identify this TV?
Am I delusional in my old age or did one of them have the channel changer on the left and the speaker on the right?

Re: Identify this TV?
I think this is either a V300S or V300F. They looked identical from the front but the cabinet is deeper [in the picture] on the much rarer V300 due to the tube being a 90 degree AW43-80 in the 300 and a 110 degree AW43-88 in the V310. J.

Re: Identify this TV?
Looks like the model with the 90 degree CRT all right. The depth of the cabinet and the shape of the CRT faceplate indicate that the set must be the V300S. Did Pye Ireland make a 625 line version?

Re: Identify this TV?
Just wondering that myself, although RTE did transmit 405 lines in parallel in areas that had good UK TV coverage, and thus a lot of 405 line sets around prior to RTE startup in late 1961
