Re: Bush DAC90A
I think I'll leave the luminescent panels to the "rip the guts out, and fit a Bluetooth module" brigade.
But ideas of keeping originality are very personal, for example I have a DAC90A that needs a UL41, and I'll probably grub-out the Rimlock holder and fit a B9A and a UL84, which on the face of it is a more radical and invasive mod than the luminescent panel, but to me it's sufficiently "in keeping".

Re: Bush DAC90A
Fit a Mazda 10P13 instead - straight swap in a DAC90A (and DAC10), although not in other applications where the screen voltage is higher. The 10P13 has a lower permissible anode dissipation and anode current than the UL41, but it drives a DAC90A perfectly well - and lasts longer.
