Default PMs not accessible

Hi there
For some reason I can't access my PMs - I just get diverted to a holding page then back to the beginning again.
Any ideas?

No problems here and no other reported issues. Nothing has changed on the software here in ages.

Hi Paul
Odd. It went wrong last week, and is the same on both my computers in separate locations, both running XP and Chrome. However, all is well when I use my phone or use IE instead.
Oh well - probably something in Chrome that doesn't like me!

I wouldn't be surprised if there are odd issues with some modern browsers. It's probably something we will see an increase of until such time as I sort out what to replace this elderly version of vBulletin with and have the time to do so.

Hi Paul
Well, it's hardly a problem for me to use another browser - just glad I've found a way round it. At least you'll know if anyone else experiences this problem.
Many thanks

The general recommendation is that if you are still using XP, at least do not use IE.
I don't want to stir the XP hornet's nest yet again, as it's been comprehensively exhausted, but the combination is just too vulnerable for a variety of reasons.
I still use XP on my Workshop computer, so It's not a self-righteous moan, just good advice.

I use Firefox as my main browser and have no problems accessing the forum with it. I'm currently running Firefox ESR 24.6.0.

There were some issues with Internet Explorer 11 here with displaying image attachments. It's been worked-around by showing them in separate windows which is messy but the best that can be done with the current forum software.

So that's why the photo presentation changed when we got "upgraded" from XP at work!

I'll stop wondering why?, now
