Default Marconiphone V2 for auction

Not my thing and nothing to do with me but I know there's some keen collectors of early sets out there. My local auction house has a V2 in the listings for 19th October. No valves...

That estimate seems low to say the least. The valves are easier to obtain than the coils (range blocks?)

Yes obtaining Range coils and regenerators for these is difficult.

The Range coils cover a very small range each I have 1 Regen and 2 coils but they are not on a useful part of the band these days.

The regenerators fetch the upper end of the estimate and it looks as if there are 3 of those and 4 coils

Range Blocks available:

185 - 250 m
300 - 390 m
390 - 530 m
400 - 600 m
600 - 800 m
800 -1000 m
1000 -1300 m
1300 -1700 m
1700 -2100 m
2100 -2600 m
2600 -3200 m

The regenerator units:

185 - 250 m
300 - 500 m
450 - 800 m
800 -1300 m
1300 -2100 m
2100 -3200 m

Cheers

I agree that was a bargain I paid more than that for mine in the 80's

Cheers
