Racal Dana 9232 Dual PSU aka Thurlby PL320 Dual PSU
Hi,
Anyone got a circuit diagram for a Racal-Dana 9232 Dual PSU. It's 0-30 volts twice at about 2 amps/unit with a slim unit in the middle that allows series or parallel conection of the PSUs. I'm pretty sure it's based on a Farnell unit but can't be sure. Don't seem to be able to find anything on the web. Ian. Last edited by Hermit6345; 22nd Oct 2006 at 9:12 pm. Reason: Added name |

Re: Racal Dana 9232 Dual PSU
I have a service manual for the Thurlby PL320 Dual PSU, which appears to be identical to the Racal-Dana 9232.
The manual includes circuit descriptions, diagrams and calibration procedures. I can email a copy of it, if that's of any help. John |

Thurlby PL320 single power supply
Hi Guys,
I noticed your thread and wondered if you knew of any stock faults on the Thurlby PL320 power supply. The one I have is an early model with the brown coloured casing. The current limiter is collapsing the volts when any load is applied for example 12 volts at 100ma. I have already checked the user control current limiter pot as this is ok. The voltage swing is from zero to 30 volts at up to 2 amps if not mistaken. Would there be any chance of a look at the circuit diagram to try and fix the problem with the current limiter. Or any tips welcome Thanks Steve Last edited by Station X; 27th Mar 2007 at 3:21 pm. Reason: Merging of two almost identical posts. |

Re: Racal Dana 9232 Dual PSU
Hello again,
finally sussed the fault on the thurlby PL320 power supply It took some finding but it turned out to be P3 which is a preset on the control board and is part of the current limiter circuit. It had gone high from 1k to well over a megohm. Replacement cured the fault. Dinplug |
