Default Another AVO valve tester question

Does anybody know if and when AVO switched from the EA50 and/or EB91 valves in their Mk1 through Mk4 characteristic meters, to solid state diodes?

I know that the Mk2 had the EA50, and the CT160, the EB91; but I should like to fill in the gaps for interest.

Many thanks,

Default Re: Another AVO valve tester question

The AVO Mk III VCM uses the EB91/CV140 and the AVO Mk IV VCM only use silicon diodes in all circuits. The earliest information I have on the AVO Mk IV VCM is from 1960.
