Default Apple Lisa 2/5 Help

Just picked one of these babies up, complete with Profile HDD and Printer etc but can't get any life out of it except the screen to illuminate with scan lines but nothing more, no beeps nothing. Any ideas? Already recapped the PSU.

I had lots of problems on the memory board with failed silicon, my advice is to try and locate some known working boards to isolate your problem, saves so much time and expense IMHO.

Hi Freya,

Do you still have one or any boards for one?

Kindest Wishes

Courtney

sadly not, mine went along with a variety of spare boards some 10 years back now. It was a pain to keep going with failures after periods of inactivity, mostly silicon problems but even the disc drive had needed rebuilding.
Try also asking at some computer only forums like vintage computer as a suggestion.

It's been many years since I last had an Apple Lisa but one thing to always check is that there is no damage to the IO board from leaking batteries.

Cheers,
Dave
