GEC Fineline help.
Hi everyone.
I have a GEC Fineline series 2 chassis. Can anyone tell me the values of the two dropper resistors? Where i might find replacements? I'm also looking for the electrolytic can. Any advice or hints and tips? I'm all ears. Regards, Andy. |

Re: GEC fineline help
I think this sounds like the 625 line single standard hybrid black and white chassis. Sadly I do not have the circuit diagram for this set but someone on this forum might be able to point you in the right direction.

Re: GEC Fineline help.
Hi Andy.
The Series 2 chassis is a slightly modified version of the Series 1 and all the information can be found in the 1971-72 and the 1973-74 "red books". In the meanwhile, R301 and R302 the heater dropper are 50Ω and 100Ω respectively. The HT dropper is R303 at 15Ω and R304 at 90Ω. Hope that helps...

Re: GEC Fineline help.
Thanks Simon and Tas.
It was R304 iI wanted to make sure of, the one fitted reads 180R giving me four sided shrink. I fashioned a dropper from a series 1, cutting it to size on a tile cutter worked a treat, so iI can fit it with confidence. Fingers crossed all will be well. Thanks again men. Best regards, Andy. |
